Quite a week last week! Monday:

Maxine came around to discuss 'Pardon Me', with her son Leo who is completing a Sound Technology course - had some useful comments to say.

Tuesday, great evening at Gathering of Eagles.

Wednesday I should have seen my Flexible New Deal Advisor, Mohammed, but he hadn't gone in - Paternal leave, his wife's just had their first baby! Congratulations!! In town afterwards: for the first time in over four years, Virgin Mobile let me down, in that I thought we'd agreed for me to get a replacement phone, but a misunderstanding means it's not happening. However, when I got home I discovered an unexpected email - the Virtual Call Centre people (arise.com) which was the main reason EIGHT MONTHS ago for me registering as a business, got in touch with me to see about working for them!! Should all start in May. Later, developed some improvements to 'Pardon Me'. Then...

Thursday morning I got a phone call from my business bank to ask why I was so in the red, and when I was going to pay it back - I was skint! But I discovered that was because I hadn't been paid any benefit. Got on to the  benefit people; I didn't have to sign on Easter Bank Holiday Monday (previous week), but someone forgot to tell the  computer. Emergency payment arranged etc.

Friday, told the bank who said "Oh you're claiming benefit? In that case sir, I can see most of the overdraft is in bank charges. Tell you what, I'll clear those back to zero. Please pay into the account to ensure the next direct debit is covered. Goodbye!" End of overdraft!! Then picked up by Sam to see Pastor Andy Wall at Grace International Centre in Bloxwich; he's starting up his Friends in Ministry networking lunches again. Stacks of food, and a great way to meet new people. On the way back, picked up from the printers the first DL leaflets I've ever designed and had printed - though I say so myself, looking really smart! (I hate that word 'cool', it's become meaningless). I love weeks like this - it helps convince me (again) that God DOES have a purpose for my life after all!! More soon - be blessed!

After much investigation, I've now managed to create a site for TRANZMACHINE to make the album - if i had a body :consecutions by tranZmachine - available on BANDCAMP.COM . Check it out by going to the website and searching for tranzmachine, or go to tranzmachine.co.uk and follow the link! the nine-track album is an entertaining and diverse collection of electronica tracks for dance, meditation and fun. You can also get PARDON ME (Maxine Swaby) RINGTONES from my website. Enjoy the unforgettable sounds of PATRICK MCNEILL's song every time your phone rings!

So much for promises to be less reclusive! Trouble is, I'd rather be doing stuff than chatting/ texting/ blogging about it! what I can report is Providing music for an event to welcome the High Commissioner of Zambia on his visit to Coventry. I was sheduled to show him the Car Museum and the Cathedral, but after the speeches and questions, he was too tired so went back to his hotel room.

I can report accompanying Maxine Swaby on BBC Coventry and Warks Sunday Morning - except the keyboards are virtually out of the mix! Still Maxine did OK despite nerves and too little preparation time; I suppose I shouldn't be too suprised at hoe un-professional BBC local radio looks.

Talking of Maxine, there's a growing buzz on YouTube about a video made nine years ago by Patrick McNeill; I arranged the song, Maxine sung it! I wonder what YOU think of it???

timothytitus Limited seems to be off and running! This week has seen the fulfillment of an order of flyers for a ministry in Coventry (and a repeat order already placed!); responses to a music video on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2D6-AsEOsps; my first PayPal sale (an ambigram postcard for 85p 1!!); and an order for some business cards and flyers. I've also got some film music on the website, and a link to a TV ad I did the music for.

Time to stop being so reclusive! I've started to use FaceBook again today, and within minutes found myself messaging people I've not chatted to in ages (Yolande, Burnette, Rachel). I was also watching a program and the incidental music caught my attention; I knew it, but couldn't think what it was. then I got it - it was virtually identical to some music I worked on about 6 years ago!! I hardly dare say "great minds"  - convergin evolution maybe?

After 17 years, Delerious are no longer a band. I think they've produced some great music over the years, even discovered some of my favourite worship songs are by them without realising it. I'm sure as individuals they will go on to do further great things, and I'm sure Martin Smith will continue songwriting.

But - hey - with them gone now, perhaps there room for Tim  Constable!!?!?!?

View Article  After Christmas
Well that's Christmas out the way for now. Time to get back to something useful! I had quite a quiet Christmas, tired actually. Helped feed the homeless at Methodist Central Hall in the morning - goggled at the TV most of the rest of the day! How about you?
